gusenbauer and molterer on top of daily austrian politics, i shit my motherfucking pants. a country, sinking deeper and deeper in an unfocused quicksand of individual interests and irrelevant elections. additionally, two long-nosed punches leading. at any rate, rounding off the overall picture... ending with a sentence out of alfred dorfer's 1999 program heim.at: "gusenbauer, sie wissen schon, des is der der uns im ausland repr..... jo, bist du deppat!" nothing to laugh about.
good books are numerous, great books are rare. lucky stiff to have one of the last mentioned in my hands. françois lelord's "hectors reise (oder die suche nach dem glück)" vereint eine überportion sprachlichen charmes mit tiefen (und doch so einfachen) gedanken zu einem thema, das jeden angeht: was ist glück? "chinesische weinkellner sehen genauso aus wie normale weinkellner, außer dass sie chinesen sind." ach ja, meinen humor teilt dieser franzose im übrigen auch. why i'm switching between languages? don't know. manchmal bedeutet glück, etwas nicht zu begreifen...
an acoustic backview on 2thousandand6. not always necessary, but sometimes quite nice. check the first comment and please post your favourite tunes. really interested in this...
sometimes it's only a missing word. or a simple sentence. touching you, making you feel better. thanks buddy, perfect timing! "kiss the future." taking this with me for tomorrow when going early to germany to have another knee investigation. my meniscus finally seems to be ruptured, and how pervert it may sound, i really hope it is. not knowing the core of my physical problem killed me continously during the last weeks. straight after the MRI scan going back to the netherlands to get operated in almelo in the afternoon. sleeping however is probably the best way to pass tomorrow's evening, keeping my flying thoughts down to earth. and afterwards investing everything i have in an all-embracing comeback. looking forward to looking forward...
never forget your childhood and never be too old to re-live it. today evening dirk, chris and me spontaneously took our bathing shorts and went to kardingen, the huge sports centre in the eastern part of the city. three hours of massive fun: riding artificial waves, extreme watersliding and sardine box styled jacuzzi chillout. great great great. definite acme: chris, sprinkling from anticipation, diving into the closed door to the outside swimming area...
celebrating birthdays, normally not my kind of thing. too much noise about numbers. but what to do, when the number is 25... strange feeling, looking back on a quarter century. and realizing in the same moment that there is nothing more important now than looking forward. surrounded by a wonderful VHL family that is always there. a day to remember gallery , part one. bitteschön.
