ORANJE BOVEN

back by train, back in the rain. not even ice storms can hinder me from feeling home. back in orange.

PUNCH POWER

gusigusenbauer and molterer on top of daily austrian politics, i shit my motherfucking pants. a country, sinking deeper and deeper in an unfocused quicksand of individual interests and irrelevant elections. additionally, two long-nosed punches leading. at any rate, rounding off the overall picture... ending with a sentence out of alfred dorfer's 1999 program heim.at: "gusenbauer, sie wissen schon, des is der der uns im ausland repr..... jo, bist du deppat!" nothing to laugh about.

NA NA NA NAA NA NA NAA NA

extraordinary music, made by a girl from california, that composes songs on her harp. joanna newsom (better than her website), today in the halfweekly tune section. listen closely.

HECTOR

hectorgood books are numerous, great books are rare. lucky stiff to have one of the last mentioned in my hands. françois lelord's "hectors reise (oder die suche nach dem glück)" vereint eine überportion sprachlichen charmes mit tiefen (und doch so einfachen) gedanken zu einem thema, das jeden angeht: was ist glück? "chinesische weinkellner sehen genauso aus wie normale weinkellner, außer dass sie chinesen sind." ach ja, meinen humor teilt dieser franzose im übrigen auch. why i'm switching between languages? don't know. manchmal bedeutet glück, etwas nicht zu begreifen...

LISTEN BACK

headphonesan acoustic backview on 2thousandand6. not always necessary, but sometimes quite nice. check the first comment and please post your favourite tunes. really interested in this...

DISORDER OF COURT

a true court dialogue, taken from the book "disorder of court". prosecutor: "all your answers have to be verbal." accused: "ok." prosecutor: "which school did you attend?" accused: "verbal." deep respect.

CLOSING TIME

the agrarblog will be closed with today. sharing my life in this intensity created a public view on me, which helped to bring me down. i am sorry for subliminally confronting you with my sorrows, there was no need to do this. my life is mine, time to remember that.

you don't have to go home, but you can't stay here. passt auf euch auf, wolfi

KISS THE FUTURE

kiss_the_futuresometimes it's only a missing word. or a simple sentence. touching you, making you feel better. thanks buddy, perfect timing! "kiss the future." taking this with me for tomorrow when going early to germany to have another knee investigation. my meniscus finally seems to be ruptured, and how pervert it may sound, i really hope it is. not knowing the core of my physical problem killed me continously during the last weeks. straight after the MRI scan going back to the netherlands to get operated in almelo in the afternoon. sleeping however is probably the best way to pass tomorrow's evening, keeping my flying thoughts down to earth. and afterwards investing everything i have in an all-embracing comeback. looking forward to looking forward...

SPLISH SPLASH REFRESH

never_forgetnever forget your childhood and never be too old to re-live it. today evening dirk, chris and me spontaneously took our bathing shorts and went to kardingen, the huge sports centre in the eastern part of the city. three hours of massive fun: riding artificial waves, extreme watersliding and sardine box styled jacuzzi chillout. great great great. definite acme: chris, sprinkling from anticipation, diving into the closed door to the outside swimming area...

POP PIECE

sometimes it needs to be pop. like "continuum", the new album of john mayer, which was released, i think, in late summer. i never paid so much attention to his music. "your body is a wonderland" was a nice song, not more. his albums? always something like a 5 out of 10. things change. "continuum" is much more than inconspicuous, including some wonderful pop pieces of music. like the second single of the album, "gravity". today's halfweekly tune.

A DAY TO REMEMBER

petrahugcelebrating birthdays, normally not my kind of thing. too much noise about numbers. but what to do, when the number is 25... strange feeling, looking back on a quarter century. and realizing in the same moment that there is nothing more important now than looking forward. surrounded by a wonderful VHL family that is always there. a day to remember gallery , part one. bitteschön.

THE SADNESS IN YOUR EYES

one of the most mournful love songs i have ever heard. maximilian hecker "i am falling now", new in the halfweekly tune section.

BIG SPORTS

this one i didn't know... lothar matthäus: "gewollt hätt' ich schon, aber gedurft haben sie mich nicht lassen." großes kino.
