AH HA UH HU

tele_wovonas you might have recognized, the ipod diary has disappeared during the last months, caused by the fact........ don't know, it has just disappeared. music needs time to grow, especially if it's precious. i don't know a single one of my all-time-favourite albums, which i liked within days. not that this is one of them, but at least it's great. it has already been agrarblog-presented some time ago (if my memory is not cheating on me), but during my stay in austria, it has developed daily, accompaning especially my car expeditions. tele "wovon sollen wir leben". pure german pop with lyrics, so thoughtful, but weightless like a butterfly in the morning: "schau mal in dein tagebuch. steht da was von morgen drin? streng dich an und denk nicht dran, wer hier was wofür kann. fang mit deiner arbeit an. und nehmen wir mal an, es geht alles schief, sing ein lied, wenn du weißt, wie das geht. es geht ah ha es geht uh hu." life ain't easy. but we can pretend it to be, at least for the duration of a car drive.

HOW OFTEN DO YOU FIND THE RIGHT PERSON?

how_ofteni rarely go to cinemas. don't know why, i love it basically. but often there is just nothing to watch, and if there is, there is sometimes nobody to watch with ;) this time i will. certainly, independent from any circumstances. once. just be honest.

TOURISTIQUE

i just recognized, that i never recommended himto you: chris garneau, already "halfweekly tune"-artist for the second time. great album, "music for tourists". a fragile voice, surrounded by a piano. shutting eyes, opening ears. take an acoustic browse to his myspace-site.

B-B-B-BEATBOX

how awesome is this guy: french idols beatbox

RE-

on the 25 may the new erdmöbel album will be released. one of the most exceptional bands from germany, at least i know, re-interpreting and re-texting pop classics: "no.1 hits". dangerous for sure...

MASTERPLAN

album recommendations were rare in the last time, which was not based on a lack of good music. days ago i had massive breakfast with buddy onadaylike, who is always there with some precious hiphop gifts. like this time. a guy and his guitar, rapping the shit out of him. great album, great album title: plan b "who needs actions when you got words"

IMC

short and to the point. simply a great music site: irish music central

KASTANIENBRAUN

i remember it well. when i was 15, i would have given my life to see rage against the machine live. two days before the concert i almost broke my leg... not that it has been the same now; age is striking, also with me. but in a way, i guess, it is...

damien-rice-live-in-hamburg i love him, and a lot of people reading these lines know it. i have spreaded my appreciation for the talent of damien rice quite joyfully over the last years; just out of the reason, that i estimate his music as one of the most precious gifts in my life. i don't know how many profund moments i experienced accompanied by his songs. a lot for sure, and all beautiful in their certain ways. yesterday evening i had the privilege of watching him playing live in hamburg, supported by the incredible magic numbers. i am not going to lose words about the concert nor about an undescribeable feeling of intimacy, standing in between 1500 spectators. therefore.

BURNING DOWN THE HOUSE

billy1sorry, just forgot to refill my weblog balance, therefore two weeks of non-entries. comunque, this is what happened this weekend. chris and me in amsterdam, proofing our chilled-out shopping skills - impressing - and visiting billy talent at melkweg. being part of one of the most powerful sets, i can remember. we two somewhere in between 600 enthusiastic adrenalineros, enjoying a furious band and a wonderful location.

A PRIVILEGE

framesa privilege. the frames from ireland (and their great support bell x1 - take a look at today's halfweekly tune) yesterday played one of the best concerts i've been to. after months for the first time back in the osterpoort, this beautiful location not far from my student house. built like a cinema, creating a certain cosy atmosphere. feel home. bell x1, presenting acoustic versions of their latest album "flock". two guitars and one bass. i liked it a lot, the perfect opener for glen hansard and his band. to the point: they are amazing! two and a half hours of silent-loud music, unsuccessful tries of speaking dutch and tender violine solos. a special evening, that's for sure.
